Candino was founded in Switzerland over 50 years ago - in 1947, to be precise - by Adolf Flury-Hug in Herbetswil. In 1971 Candino inaugurates an assembly line for automatic watches and manufactures special electronic digital watches.

 

The 120 employees with premises in Biel and Herbetswil, Switzerland, not only supply the Swiss market, but export watches to over 65 countries worldwide. Key sale areas are Europe and the Middle and the Far East. All Candino watches are produced at the factory in Herbetswil, near Solothurn, at a rate of up to 2,000 quality watches per day which are distributed on jewel-rama.co.uk.

 

To strengthen the market presence and to profit from the synergies, Candino has been integrated into the Festina Group in January 2002. The Festina Group was founded 30 years ago by entrepreneur Miguel Rodríguez. The group's central head office is in Barcelona and there are subsidiaries in 9 countries. Then in 2006 Candino has the honour of timing Roger Federer's first victory in his home city, at the Davidoff Swiss Indoors in Basel.
