Chipie

CHIPIE starts in December 1967, in south of France in Carcassonne. Jean-Michel Signoles, who was 17 years old, creates Chipie's brand. At the beginning, he diverts clothing from United-states before opening 4 years later his own workshop.

Since 70s, Chipie becomes apparent in Jean's universe and places among the most import nation-wide brands. Chipiehad become famous especially thanks to Chipie's creativity and label elaboration, which helped Chipie to be set apart from other brands.

Chipie Junior Licence is launched in 1979 after Chipie Adults (women and Men) has already been established in France. The brand launches its paper making collection in 1985 and starts up shoes collection in 1989. Then following other licenses like watchmaking, leather goods...

It is from 80s that Chipie starts to export its products in Europe (Belgium and Italy) then around the world (United Kingdom, Japan...). In 1999, Chipie belongs to the “Groupe Zannier” and emphasize on Babies, Kids and Juniors collections.
